There is so much pressure in today’s society to be a certain way.

We are now dealing with levels of stress, anxiety and depression

that have never been seen before. If you are dealing with any type

of emotional stress , just know that there is someone willing to work

by your side, willing to explore and become your companion on this

journey to self discovery.

As a therapist my main goal is for you to feel comfortable, safe and in

a place (emotional and physical) where you are able to express yourself

without the fear of being judged. Unconditional acceptance is my motto

and I thrive to provide my clients with a place where being who they really

are without any fears or pressure to be “ok” is the norm. In my practice

I find myself meeting wonderful clients who for some reason feel stuck

either due to past events or fear of the unknown. Just know that you are

not alone, that what you are experiencing is a normal human emotion that

needs exploration and a resolution. Let me join you as your travel companion

in this therapy journey.

My Story:

I decided to become a therapist by age 17. During my teenage years, and due to my own personal experiences with anxiety I made it my main goal to figure out what was happening to me since nobody could explain why I would feel so nervous and worried. People try to fix what was going on with me, ” It’s ok, just relax”, and the more I heard those words the worst I felt. I met a school counselor who explained to me what was happening and encouraged me to see a therapist. It was not only the skills that I learned, but mostly the educational part on what anxiety was that helped me understand what was happening to me at that moment. I learned to understand me, and what was happening emotionally and mentally. We all experience these symptoms in a different and unique way. Thanks to the guidance and exploration that I learned, I was able to identify the thoughts that were drowning me in negativity.

I moved to the United States in 2000 from Colombia. It was such a radical change in my life. It was very difficult to cope with living in a different country with a different language, but with time I learned to embrace a new culture and the place I now call home. I feel blessed of not only living in America but living in Texas! I consider myself a Colombian by blood and a Texan by heart.

I am married and have two little boys and a little girl who are the joy of my life
