Finding a therapist can be stressful and intimidating but you just made the first step addressing your mental wellness needs. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe space where you feel heard and recognized; an environment where you feel comfortable exploring yourself and learning new ways to face life’s challenges. My believe is that every person has inners resources that help them deal with different life stressors; sometimes we lose sight of our strengths and feel powerless against everyday struggles. My purpose is to help you identify your own strengths to become stronger and confident that you are capable of interacting effectively in every aspect of your life. You are not alone, I’ll be there with you guiding you throughout this wonderful journey.

My Story

I am born and raised in Mexico; I’ve been married for 25 years and I have two beautiful daughters. I’ve always wanted to become a therapist, the brain and the way we interact with others was always an interest of mine.  I graduated as a Clinical Psychologist and worked in the psychology department at different schools for many years; in 2007 I moved to Houston with my family and decided that individual therapy was very important but I was also interested in the impact that our relationships have in our emotions and decisions, so I got my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy; working with couples and families is also my passion; it is very rewarding being able to help families and couples to communicate in effective ways and build healthy relationships, which translates in happy and fulfilling lives.

I am fully bilingual which gives me the opportunity to provide services to the Spanish speaking population; I feel honor to support you through this learning process in a way that you feel comfortable and understood in your own language; in addition to this, as an immigrant myself I understand the challenges of adapting to a new culture; let me walk with you and join you in this process of discovering a new perspective on your life.
