Finding a therapist can be overwhelming sometimes, but if you are here, it means you have already started the process of taking care of your mental health and, I am here to support you on this. Doing therapy is a powerful way to take care of yourself and to look inside.

My name is Andressa, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor . I am Brazilian, and I speak English, Portuguese, and in the process of learning Spanish.

​

I have always been curious and interested in how the brain works. It fascinates me how this organ is capable of so many functions, and some of them still unknown today. Based on this interest, I have chosen to learn more about it and help people taking the lead in their lives. I have personally experienced the power of psychotherapy, which made me even more passionate about this profession.

Education:

​

I concluded my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I moved to Houston in 2015, and I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I gained extensive experience with individual and group therapy under supervision, seeing kids, adolescents, and adults throughout this learning journey.

I provide individual counseling for kids, adolescents, and adults, specializing in Anxiety, ADHD/ADD, Depression, and Trauma. I use various approaches matching the client’s needs and my knowledge, but mostly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Self-compassionate training. I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for my clients.

The most amazing thing about being a therapist is witnessing how every human is capable of change. It can be more challenging for some and easier for others. Having a safe space and someone to support you in this path makes it even more exciting.
