Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Certified Family Trauma Professional
For those who are seeking a Christian perspective, I integrate God's Word with current counseling practices to offer faith-based support and understanding. In session, I use scripture for encouragement and guidance. I also offer prayer to lift you up and to remind you that you are not alone. My prayer for you is that hope will be restored as you embrace God's truth and find new ways to apply it to your life.
I am so glad you are taking the time to read this. It means that you are wanting to improve yourself or your situation, and I commend you for that. We all have struggles and sometimes those struggles can become overwhelming. Therapy can help sort out the cause of the problem, assist you as you persevere through it, and guide you as you make healthier choices.
My name is Angela Longoria, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate supervised by Mary Ring, LMFT-S. I am a wife, a mother of four, and a former school teacher. As a wife, I understand the give and take involved in marriage. Both sides bring their past and their expectations which can create problems in the relationship. As a mother, I can testify that parenting is hard and sometimes you wish you had a do-over. As a teacher, I have experience with many learning styles and different personalities. There is a reason we behave the way we do and there is hope for all situations.
I chose to become Marriage and Family Therapist because I have a personal understanding of complex families and their impact on each family member. I am passionate about helping others learn to connect in meaningful ways and heal their past hurts. I have been there and I would love to help you walk through the pain and struggling.

I attended Texas A&M University and received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood. I have taught public and private school before earning my master’s degree in 2020 from Abilene Christian University. While studying marriage and family therapy, I chose an emphasis in treating trauma. I was fortunate to do my practicum in a trauma informed counseling center where I served on the family team.
Services I provide:
I have experience working with couples, families, and individuals. I approach therapy from a systems perspective with an attachment theory lens and utilize CBT, EFT, Family Systems Theory, and experiential therapies as needed. I provide individual counseling for kids (6+), adolescents, and adults as well as couples and family therapy. I specialize in behavioral issues and family conflict. I enjoy working with adolescents and helping parents renew the joy they once felt for their child.
I understand that life is hard, and everyone is doing the best he/she can at the time. Change is possible and it is worth the effort. I would love to offer you care and support during your journey. I hope to earn your trust as we work to meet your goals.
